About Chhattisgarh


Chhattisgarh is a state located in the central part of India.  The state Chhattisgarh was carved out from the sixteen Chhattigarhi language speaking districts of Madhya Pradesh.  Raipur is the capital of  the state Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh shares its borders with Madhya Pradesh in the northwest, Maharashtra in the west, Andhra Pradesh in the south, Orissa in the east, Jharkhand in the northeast and Uttar Pradesh in the north.

Balod, Baloda Bazaar, Balrampur - Ramanujgang, Bastar, Bemetara, Bijapur, Bilaspur, Dantewada, Dhamtari, Durg, Gariaband, Jashpur, Janjgir-Champa, Kondagaon, Korba, Koriya , Kanker, Kabhirdham, Mahasamund, Mungeli, Narayanpur, Raigarh, Rajnandgaon, Raipur, Surajpur, Sukma and Surguja 

How to reach Chhattisgarh?
Chhattisgarh is easily reachable from all the main cities by air, rail and by road.

By Air 
Swami Vivekananda Airport at Raipur is the main airport of Chhattisgarh.
Air Taxi services are available from the Raipur airport to various other cities in the state namely, Korba, Jagdalpur, Raigarh, Ambikapur and Jashpur.

By Rail
Bilaspur is the headquarters of the Southeast Central Railway Zone. The network of railways is centered around Bilaspur and covers almost all of the state. Mahasamund, Durg, Champa and Rajnandgaon are the other main railway stations of the state.

By Road
The state is covered with 11 national highways passing through Chhattisgarh. The state highway has also laid good roads throughout the state connecting all the tehsils and their headquarters.
